We are looking to recruit a part time Administration Assistant to join our skilled team in one of Dundee’s city GP practices which is close to the city centre.  Reporting to the Practice Manager you will provide a professional and comprehensive administration service to our GPs and nurses.  Ideally, you will have experience gained within a medical environment and will be directly involved in:
The Role:
  • Carrying out all administration duties
  • Carrying out reception and telephone duties with emphasis on delivering excellent customer service 
  • Dealing with relatives and patients
  • Managing your time effectively, prioritising work to meet demands
To be considered for this opportunity, is essential you have:
  • Significant administrative experience
  • Previous experience in reception duties
  • Good working knowledge or Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Previous experience of working in a medical environment is desirable
  • A knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous
Minimum Wage
NHS/SPPA Pension Scheme
The role is 25 hours weekly, and your normal days and hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm daily.  It is however beneficial if you are able to undertake additional hours to cover holidays and/or sickness, if required.
